Kehte hain na… kuch kahaaniyan likhi jaati hain, aur kuch bas ho jaati hain. We both grew up in Gandhinagar; same city, same roots, same kind of upbringing. Our lives moved in parallel, never quite crossing… as if the timing just wasn't right yet.

And then, miles away from home, in the middle of a cold Toronto winter in January 2025… it finally was. What was meant to be a simple first meeting turned into hours of conversation. Time seemed to slow down. Between stories of home, shared traditions, and a mutual love for food, everything felt strangely familiar; like we weren't meeting for the first time, just picking up where we had unknowingly left off.

As the seasons changed, so did our story. Winter melted into spring, and conversations turned into something we began to hold onto. The laughter came easy, the silences felt comfortable, and somewhere along the way, "us" just happened.

Through the warmth of summer and into the festive glow of the months that followed, what started as an instant connection became something deeper; something steady, something real.

Looking back, it all feels a little filmy… two people from the same city, who never met when they could have, finding each other halfway across the world, exactly when they were meant to. Shayad isi ko kehte hain kismet. And now, here we are; ready to begin our forever, together.
